/ world today news/ 34 panels reflecting the impact of narcotic substances on the human body and organs during their use are displayed in the Blue Hall of Kyustendil Community Center “Bratstvo”.
“Thanks to the Medical University of Sofia, we have shown a damaged white and liver, as well as a baby born to a drug-addicted mother. Another highlight of the exhibition are authentic materials, with the aids of drug addicts, what different drugs and psychoactive pills look like,” said Elitsa Kochova at the opening , Secretary of the Narcotics Board.
Among the presented exhibits is a human-sized model of a drug addict. The materials are here, thanks to Dr. Temenujka Ljubenova from the municipal council on narcotic substances in Blagoevgrad, the organizers further specified.
The opening of the exhibition was attended by the mayor Petar Paunov, the chairman of the Municipal Council Ivan Andonov and the deputy mayor Viktor Yanev.
“We want to see young people always smiling and fresh, not in this state. This is the scourge of the modern age and they realize it as soon as they are here. I hope they help their friends not to go down this path that their organs are turning into scumbags and losing their future,” said Mayor Petar Paunov. The opening was attended by volunteers from Kyustendil high schools, recently trained by representatives of the Council on Narcotic Substances in the “peer teaching peer” method to influence their classmates and other acquaintances and help prevent them from resorting to the killer drug.
The exhibition will remain here until April 16.
