‘Don’t come to Breda’, municipality wants to keep it cozy

Because of the crowds in the city center, Breda calls on revelers not to come to the city anymore. The municipality does this to ‘keep it cozy’, she reports via Twitter at the end of the afternoon. It is not known how many people there are in the city.

With 40,000 visitors, 538 King’s Day on the Chasséveld is the main attraction in Breda. But parties are also celebrated in other places in the city. For example, there are six stages in the center where performances are held, including on Kerkplein and Havermarkt.

Earlier this King’s Day, the Stadhuisplein in Eindhoven was already closed because it became too busy. The interest was still very high at half past six, but according to a spokesperson for the organization it is still ‘super cozy’ at the various party locations.
