The recently published ranking of cars that depreciate the most over time was compiled in the United States by the experts at iSeeCars. The interesting ranking shows which cars are not recommended for purchase, given their extremely fast depreciation.
The lower part of this top 20 (20th to 11th places) includes such wonderful models as the BMW 5 Series, Tesla Model S, Mercedes-Benz GLS, Lincoln Navigator L, Mercedes-Benz S-Class, Nissan Armada, Volvo S90, Audi A6, Cadillac Escalade and Audi Q7. Over five years, these cars lose an average of 55-57% of their original price, according to iSeeCars data.
The places from tenth to sixth are occupied by Audi A7, Jaguar XF, Maserati Levante, Infiniti QX80 and BMW X5. In the first five years, these models are depreciated by an average of 57-58%. And here are the cars that are depreciating the fastest (5th to 1st places):
Cadillac Escalade ESV
BMW 5-Series Hybrid
Maserati Ghibli
BMW 7 Series
Maserati Quattroporte
The price of the first five cars on the list decreased by an average of 58.5-61.8% over five years, and the “leader” Maserati Quattroporte lost an average of 64.5% of its original price over the same period!
