2. Chocolate Increases Blood Sugar and Diabetes Risk

If you want to eat chocolate but are concerned about the risk of high blood sugar and diabetes, Moskovitz suggests choosing dark chocolate or low-sugar chocolate.

3. Chocolate Makes Fat

4. Chocolate Causes Toothache
Many of us agree that children whose teeth are damaged and sick are because they eat chocolate, right? According to existing studies, the effect of dental plaque from chocolate is actually less and smaller than the plaque that develops due to consuming pure table sugar.
Toothache and cavities have been studied where the results do not prove a link between tooth decay and chocolate.
According to the results of a study in Japan from Osaka University, cocoa beans (the main ingredient for making chocolate) are actually capable of fighting bacteria in the mouth, so this proves that chocolate is safe as long as the mixture of sugar is not too much.
5. Chocolate Causes Acne
According to Moskovitz, so far no studies have definitively confirmed that chocolate can cause acne. Although a high-sugar diet can worsen acne skin conditions, it is not the root cause of acne.
Moskovitz states, acne is often caused by a myriad of facts. This includes skin type, hormones, age, genetics, environmental factors, and skin care routine.
“That said, eating an anti-inflammatory, antioxidant-rich and nutrient-rich diet can really tame skin volatility. So if you’re worried about what your face will look like in the morning, stick to a balanced diet including chocolate,” says Moskovitz.
