The new boss of Man United seemed displeased with Cristiano Ronaldo’s ‘barking’ attitude, which tends to not appreciate him during the match against Rayo Vallecano.
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is believed to have been irritated by Cristiano Ronaldo’s attitude in last Sunday’s match.
Ronaldo played his first game of pre-season this time around as Man United were held to a 1-1 draw by Rayo Vallecano after only attending two team training sessions.
The Sun claim, the dispute that occurred in the middle of the match when water break between Ronaldo and the tactician made the superstar pulled out in the second half.
Instead of remaining on the bench, the Portugal captain chose to leave the stadium ten minutes before the final whistle.
Seeing this sight, ten Hag is believed to be displeased with such an attitude. It’s not nice for a player who is already in the squad, but leaves the stadium before the game is finished.
“Don’t be like that, take it off first when you are already involved in the squad,” said a club source close to ten Hag.
“It’s a different story if you’re in the stands and not involved,” explained the source.
“You would expect someone who has played in the game to be in the dressing room until the end to listen to the manager’s directions.”
“Also because a lot of people there saw him and he didn’t even get involved in the applause of the fans after the final whistle.”
Speculation over Ronaldo’s future continues as he looks determined to leave Old Trafford before the summer transfer window officially closes.
