Donny Roelvink doesn’t have to have chemotherapy. Singer Dries Roelvink’s 25-year-old son was diagnosed with testicular cancer two weeks ago. Friday shares on Instagram that his scenario is the best it can be after that diagnosis.
Roelvink had previously been told there were no metastases, but she still had to wait and see if further treatment was needed. “As crazy as it sounds, my script is the best you can get,” he writes.
Roelvink now says he doesn’t need chemotherapy. Instead, doctors advise him to “wait carefully.”
That means Roelvink gets “checkups and ultrasounds” every so often “to keep an eye on things.” “So I can’t call myself completely clean yet, but this is obviously very good and reassuring news.”
Roelvink says he’s been on a “bizarre express train” for the past two weeks. “But hopefully now this has been stopped again.” He thanks everyone who has encouraged him over the past two weeks. “Partly thanks to your incredible support, I was able to pull through and I want to thank you wholeheartedly for that.”
