Donny didn’t get much from the accident. He says that it ‘went very quickly’. “All I remember is that I felt a blow and a few minutes later I woke up in an ambulance.” Despite the visibly serious injuries, Donny says that ‘miraculously’ his life was not in danger. “Happily, except for a few broken ribs and a small collapsed lung, it hasn’t gotten any worse than that.”

He does not explain exactly what the purpose of the video was – prior to the accident – but Donny does say that he never thought that he could do such a thing with ‘such a small idea’. “I’m really shocked. (…) I’m glad I’m still here.” In addition to the physical injuries, the accident mainly affected him mentally, he says. “It really gives you that reality check: huh, it could be done in a minute.”
Donny hopes his accident can be a message to others: “You really should enjoy every moment in life. Know that danger is lurking around the corner.” In the coming period, he will mainly focus on his recovery.
