Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma was named the best player of the 2020 European Football Championship.

He received the award from the President of the European Football Union (UEFA), Alexander Čeferin, after Sunday’s final triumph at London’s Wembley over England (1: 1 pp, 3: 2 in the 11th shootout).

Twenty-two-year-old Donnarumma in the penalty lottery neutralized English missiles in the fourth and fifth series and became the hero of Italy.

The Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo won the golden kick for the best scorer of the championship. He scored five goals in the same way as the Czech Patrik Schick, in his favor it was decided that he also scored one assist in the tournament.
