Jakarta –
Former coach AC Milan, Fabio Capello, commented on the move Gianluigi Donnarumma ke Paris Saint Germain. Capello called Donnarumma ungrateful.
Donnarumma, a Milan academy dropout, left the San Siro last summer. The 22-year-old goalkeeper moved to PSG on a free transfer.
Donnarumma left after not renewing his contract which expired in June. Reportedly, the decision was related to financial problems. Milan was unable to meet the high salary demands of the Italian national team goalkeeper.
“I hope they fulfill his wish because he is a national team player who has made a big contribution,” Capello told The Corriere dello Sport, as reported by Football Italia.
“Nevertheless, let me say that he is ungrateful to Milan. After everything the club did for him and his family when he was a child, he should have behaved differently,” he said.
Fabio Capello hopes too Gianluigi Donnarumma won’t be cheered by the Milan fans on his return to the San Siro. The Italian national team will compete against Spain at the San Siro in the Nations League semifinals, Thursday (7/10/2021) early morning WIB.
However, Capello’s hopes seem to be difficult to materialize. Milan Ultras put up a banner against Donnarumma on a bridge in the city of Milan.
