Gianluigi Donnarumma was responsible for the defeat of Paris Saint-Germain in the hands of Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeú in the round of 16 of the Champions League. But so were all his teammates, as was the merengue due to their conditions on the field. But the goalkeeper, as well as Lionel Messi and Neymar were some of those most singled out by the French press and by the public after the defeat.
That is why this Friday, after not having declared, the goalkeeper published a text on his social networks.
“The elimination of the Champions League was a hard blow. The last two
days have not been easy, but it is those difficult moments that we go out more
strong,” said Donnarumma, alluding to the mistake that led to Karim Benzema’s first goal, which laid the first stone for Real Madrid’s comeback.
“Now we have to think about the present, to win the League, to give everything,
as I always did, for this shirt, for this Club and for our fans. Come back, all together! Go to Paris,” he added.
The European champion with Italy did not allude to an alleged fight with his teammate Neymar in the locker room after Wednesday’s clash, an episode already denied on Thursday by the Brazilian striker.
