Donna Summer’s heirs have sued American rappers Ye and Ty Dolla $ign for copying a song by the singer. Entertainment site reports this TMZ. Summer’s relatives are demanding compensation.

The two artists had previously asked Summer’s relatives if they wanted the song I Feel Love of the late American singer. But the heirs refused. According to them, the rappers have now made a song that is very similar to Summer’s.

It’s about the number Good (Don’t Die)which is on the album released earlier this month Vultures 1 by Ye and Ty Dolla $ign. When the relatives heard the song, they said they asked various streaming services to take the song offline. That may explain why the album disappeared from music platforms for some time.

Because Good (Don’t Die) has already been streamed millions of times, the heirs are demanding compensation. In addition, they want the song not to be distributed further. The case is against the two rappers and Ye’s record label.

‘I don’t want to be associated with this man’

This isn’t the first time Ye and Ty Dolla $ign have gotten in trouble for using someone else’s clip without permission Vultures 1.

The rappers also had a modified version of the song War Pigs by Black Sabbath are on the album. Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne previously wrote on social media that he had not given permission for this.

“Ye requested permission to record a portion of a 1983 live performance by War Pigs to use. He was denied permission because he is an anti-Semite,” Osbourne wrote. “I do not want to be associated with this man.”

The fragment of War Pigs has since been removed and replaced.
