An 83-year-old woman died this morning in a house fire in Gouda. Firefighters report that the fire is now under control.
The fire broke out at around 09.30am in a house in Veenzoom. The victim was the sole occupant. At 10 the fire brigade gave the signal to fire under control. It is unclear how the fire started.
A fire department spokesman says no Transmission in the West that no other houses were to be evacuated. Neighbors were checked for smoke damage. The house itself was declared uninhabitable. The police are investigating further.
