On this day, at around 1:28 pm, the police, who received a report from a citizen saying “donkeys are roaming in the middle of the road,” said that they found three donkeys walking on the road near Sinsa Station, and that all of them were captured around 2:05 pm.
Fortunately, no human or property damage occurred due to donkeys. It is said that they walked the road for about 15 minutes.
The donkeys were found to be kept as pets by the owner of a nearby restaurant. The police drove the donkeys to remote places with a patrol car and captured them, and it is reported that the owner took them in order.
A police official told the situation at the time, “It seems that the citizens were embarrassed as a donkey appeared in the middle of the city.” The police notified the restaurant owner of a fine of 50,000 won due to negligence in the management of dangerous animals under the Minor Crime Penalty Act.
