Writer “Rawan Abu Khashm” opened fire on the makers of the series “Jet Salima”, which will be shown during the Ramadan 2023 drama season, starring the artist Donia Samir Ghanem, and accused the work team of stealing the idea from her novels called “Vakeet Afrib”.
Rawan Abu Khashm published a video clip, through her personal account on the social networking site “Facebook”, in which she accuses the work makers of stealing her idea from her novels, which bore the name “Vakeet Afrib”.
And “Rawan” said, during the video: “I am Rawan Abu Khashm, the author of the novel Fake Afrib. My novel was stolen and a series was made in Ramadan 2023, and it is not normal that ideas are stolen. It is not normal that effort is stolen and it is not normal that our ambitions are buried.”
And she added: “When I first saw the series, everything blackened in my eyes. I write again, how do I not write again, why at all, I write because my novel is stolen again, third, and fourth, and my view is what in front of myself and in front of my family and my needs are stolen, and in the end you say we want creative and educated youth, where are the youth The intellectual is already being stolen. Who will get my rights? I mean, we bury ourselves. Even ideas are stolen.
Fakit Afrib’s narration, and Rawan Abu Khashm sent a message to the Public Prosecutor during the video, saying: “I appeal to the Public Prosecutor with this video. I want my right. How do I answer my right so that I can appear in front of myself, not weak.”
A source from the work makers stated in exclusive statements to Masrawy: “We do not have any knowledge of this novel, nor the writer who accused the work team of theft, just as the theme of the idea of the series is present all the time, and it cannot be monopolized in favor of a specific name.”
And he continued: “Everyone must wait to watch the events of the work as soon as it is presented, and then we issue judgments.”
