Egyptian actress Donia Samir Ghanem commemorated her father’s birthday this year in a joyful and different way, as she performed his Greek song “Okhi”, using the song’s original video clip.

Dunia combined her voice with her father’s voice within the song’s scenes in Greek, which the late artist had presented in a comic sketch, and then re-presented it again in the album “Mana Mana… The Most Beautiful Children’s Song” in 1985.

Donia Samir Ghanem sent a message to her father at the end of the video clip, and wrote: “Happy New Year, my love, and a happy birthday in heaven, God willing. I always feel that you are with me with your white heart, your kindness, your wit, your voice, your art, your history and your audience. You did not make us happy and taught us happiness, patience and contentment, even when you are not present.”

Donia collaborated in the new distribution of the song “Okhi, Okhi” with photographer Ibrahim Nasr, guitarist Ahmed Hussein, bassist Ahmed Ragab, percussionist Ahmed Al-Ayadi, percussionist Hisham Al-Arabi, the choir of the Osama Al-Khouli group, and the video clip directed by Sherine Haraz.
