A few months ago, it was revealed that the Done Quick Summer Games would be delayed due to the danger posed by COVID-19. Today, the organizers of this event have canceled the physical event. However, a digital replacement will take place in August.
The online event will take place from August 16 to 23 on the GDQ Twitch channel. Fortunately, participants who have already registered for the event in person simply submit a form to keep their place. Presumably, the team went ahead and made sure that all speedruns could move in line when they initially delayed SGDQ. Anyway, it’s a good thing to make sure that all the great players can demonstrate their prowess. Here’s what they commented on Twitter:

During Awesome Games Done Quick, last winter, the team raised $ 3.13 million for the Prevent Cancer Foundation. On this occasion, The SGDQ raises funds for Doctors Without Borders and it would not be surprising once again to exceed the $ 3 million mark.
