On Thursday night, SVT Sport was able to reveal that FC Rosengård will extend with captain Caroline Seger.
Now the club itself has announced this.
– Here I have grown as a person and seen dreams come true. Here I have celebrated in the rain with champagne. Here I have written football history and here I will stay, says Seger in a video on the club social media.
The new contract is valid until 2024 and the 37-year-old says that it was an easy choice to extend.
– Malmö is my home and has been for many years. I am incredibly passionate about everything Rosengård does on the pitch but also off the pitch. I feel that I am still developing as a person and a football player here.
After 2024, however, it does not look like there will be any continuation.
– With my hand on my heart, I can probably say that this is my absolute last contract, says Seger.
But when she, as a 36-year-old, signed the current contract, she said even then that it was the last.
