NBA Replacements for Donnie Nelson and Rick Carlisle arrive
Luka Doncic already has a new coach and general manager. As reported by Shams Charania de The Athletic, those chosen are to take the positions they left vacant Donnie Nelson Y Rick Carlisle will be Jason Kidd and Nico Harrison .
Donnie Nelson spent 24 years on the team; while Rick Carlisle directed 13 seasons, including the only championship in franchise history, when they beat the Heat of LeBron, Wade and Bosh in 2011.
Jason Kidd arrives in Dallas for the third time. In his 19 years in the NBA as a player, he played for the Phoenix, Nets, Knicks and Mavs. Dallas chose him in the 1994 Draft and instead left in the middle of 96/97, returning on 08/07. In his career he had 12,091 assists, making him the second-highest assistant in NBA history. In 2018 he was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame.
The California native is respected by a large majority of players and Every time a team looks for a coach, Jason Kidd’s name is not missing.
Already with experience on the bench in Milwaukee and Brooklyn, Kidd was to date Frank Vogel’s assistant in the Lakers, with whom he was champion in 2020.

In his coaching career, Kidd is 373-183, reaching the playoffs in three of five seasons.. Nico Harrison played professionally in Europe for seven years, although he did not make it into the NBA. He played at the NCAA level for one season with the Army, before transferring to Montana State, with whom he reached March Madness in 1996 after winning the Big Sky conference.
