Windows barricaded with wooden planks, sandbags protecting the electric generators and heavily armed sentries: the Kramatorsk hospital has, on this June morning, the appearance of a besieged fortress. Located about twenty kilometers from the front line, the place is one of the last hospitals still operational in Donbass, a region of eastern Ukraine inexorably nibbled by the Russian army.
