In a tearful moment on a recent episode of “The Daily Show,” Jon Stewart opened up about the loss of his beloved dog, Dipper. Sharing his grief, Stewart said, “Dipper passed away yesterday. He was ready. He was tired. But I wasn’t. And the family, we were all together — thank goodness. We were all with him. But boy, my wish for you is that one day you find that dog — that one dog that is just the best.”
Stewart followed his emotional tribute by sharing a heartwarming clip of Dipper, a brindle pitbull mix, joyfully playing in the snow, giving viewers a glimpse into the dog’s joyful life.

In addition to monetary donations, many individuals have shown interest in adopting animals and purchased supplies from Animal Haven’s wish list, offering further assistance to the shelter and its mission.

Animal Haven shared Stewart’s announcement on its official Facebook page, expressing their sorrow for the loss and paying tribute to Dipper’s journey from hardship to a life filled with love.
The Facebook post read, “Our hearts break alongside Jon and his entire family with the loss of Dipper. Dipper went through so much early in his life after being hit by a car and losing his leg, but Jon and his family gave him a brand new life that started unwittingly on that fateful day at Animal Haven selling cupcakes with his kids.”
