Donating blood in the Detmold town hall: tinned food scarce due to flooding

In view of the flood disaster, the German Red Cross is particularly promoting blood donations. Here in Lippe, for example, this is possible today in Detmold. At the moment blood supplies are scarce.

Because the infrastructure in the regions affected by the disaster has been destroyed, no blood donation appointments can take place there. In addition, the pandemic and the holiday season have already led to a decline in donations.

It is all the more important now to donate blood in the areas spared from flooding, writes the DRK. Today this is possible from 3 to 8 p.m. in the Detmold town hall.

The German Red Cross points out that people who have been vaccinated against corona can donate again the next day, provided they do not show a vaccination reaction.
