90% of French people are convinced that it is important to donate blood but only 4% do it every year, according to’French Blood Establishment (EFS). In order to reverse this trend, EFS is releasing an advertising campaign carried out by DDB Paris titled “Join us, become a donor“.

The launch will take place on June 9, 2021 reaching its peak at the time of the World Blood Donor Day, June 14. This advertising campaign will be associated with the second edition of the operation co-built with M6 called #Take the Relay “one month for all to give”.

In parallel with this campaign, teams from the French blood establishment and DDB are working on the whole donor journey in order to offer a global experience up to what the French expect today. This will materialize through the redesign of the site internet donor which will allow the making of an appointment and the preparation to be given in the best conditions.

A new version of the mobile application and a new approach to the design of collection sites are also planned. These changes are necessary to continue to ensure France’s self-sufficiency in blood products will be visible from October 2021 and will continue to be implemented throughout 2022.

In September 2021, this highlight will be recalled by 20-second films broadcast in FLIGHT. They will act on each person’s ability to become a donor by lifting various brakes on the reality of the experience: donating blood is simple, fast, user-friendly; it suffices, two or three times a year, to make an appointment online for a donation that takes only an hour of one’s time.

Finally, from September to December 2021, a digital communication device will ensure the continuity of communication through a common thread of short films.
