Donate blood on Thursday | mosquito

Mücke-Nieder-Ohmen (eva). Saving lives can be so easy. Therefore, the DRK blood donation service and the DRK Nieder-Ohmen are calling for blood donations to the village community center in Nieder-Ohmen on Thursday, May 27, from 3:45 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The blood donation service draws attention to the fact that, during the corona pandemic, blood donation appointments at the DRK are being carried out under the supervision and in agreement with the supervisory authorities and under the highest hygiene and safety standards. »The risk of infection is therefore below the ‘regular’ everyday situations. For blood donors, we have mouth and nose protective masks ready at the registration, ”emphasizes the DRK chairman Helmut Reitz.

Bring ID with you to donate

As in the times of the well-known flu, it goes without saying that you can and may only go to donate blood if you feel healthy and fit. Even those who have had contact with a suspected coronavirus case in the past four weeks or who have been abroad in the past two weeks cannot be admitted to donate blood.

Another special condition is to register for blood donation at https: // appointment reservation ung.blutspende.de//m/niederohmen and to reserve your personal appointment. Blood donors must be at least 18 years old and not be older than 73 years. First-time donors must not be older than 64 years. Men are allowed to donate blood six times and women four times within a twelve-month period. However, there must be at least 56 days between two blood donations.

After vaccination with the SARS-CoV-2 vaccines approved in Germany, no donation reserve is required. If you feel well, you can safely donate blood the day after the vaccination. Please bring your ID card with you when donating blood. No accompanying persons are currently allowed. After the bloodletting, the donors receive a “to go” snack in the form of a packed lunch.
