According to Doan Thi Câm Nhung, a doctor in the hematology and blood transfusion department at Danang hospital, the resurgence of the epidemic is accompanied by a worrying reduction in reserves. Therefore, donor clubs are approached at the rate of three collections per week.

Nguyên Duy Hiên is president of the blood donors club of the district of Son Tra. Recently he was called for a patient with Covid-19. He didn’t hesitate for a second: he rushed to the hospital to donate his blood.
“We respect barrier gestures. Donating blood in the midst of a pandemic is a strong gesture, I think. However, the hospital is still lacking blood, so I appeal to all goodwill, ”he tells us.
