In the framework of the National Organ Donation Day, different activities will be carried out tomorrow to encourage the participation of donors. Under the slogan “Donar Nos Une”, the sessions will be expanded in different cities of Río Negro, in order to integrate the work of local hospitals.

With the organization of the referents of the public health centersvarious activities will be coordinated on the National Organ Donation Daya date that commemorates the birth of the son of the first patient who gave birth after receiving a transplant in a public hospital.
This year, according to Rio Negro government authorities, the actions will be framed in a special recognition, which will pay tribute to the donors and their familieswho allow thousands of people each year to recover their health to live fully.
«The transplant is only possible thanks to the participation of the society that donates organs in solidarity and the commitment of health teams from all over the country to make it happen“, they expressed in writing.
At the national level, 549 donation processes were carried out that allowed the performance of 1,246 transplants, 591 organ transplants and 655 corneal transplants.
«In Río Negro, 17 donation operations were carried out, 2 multi-organ and 15 corneal tissue. This allowed four people from Rio Negro to have corneal transplants at the Corneal Procurement and Transplant Unit of the Hospital ‘Dr. Pedro Moguillansky’ de Cipolletti”, concluded the official press release.
Scheduled activities
In Roca, the central activity will have a Stand in front of the Monument to the Apple, located in Isidro Lobo and Avenida Roca. The day will begin at 10 am and will last until 1 pm, with the participation of the Fundación Celebra la Vida, the Grupo Curarte and the Bachelor of Social Work, Guillermina Krenz de Cucai Río Negro.
In tune, the neighbors of Allen will be able to approach from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., in front of Banco Nación (San Martín 204), where brochures will be distributed. In addition, in the afternoon – from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. – stands with games and music will be set up in the Allen “Eva Perón” Amphitheater”.
