Two of Donald Trump’s lawyers state that they have withdrawn and that they will no longer represent the former president.
– This morning we tendered our resignations as lawyers for President Trump, and we will no longer represent him either in cases where he is charged or in connection with the investigation after the events of January 6, says a joint announcement from Jim Trusty and John Rowley.
Trump is being prosecuted for his handling of classified documents that were found at his home after he had resigned as president.
He is also charged with falsifying accounts, including by incorrectly recording the payment of so-called hush money to the porn actor Stormy Daniels and others.
He is also being investigated for his role in the storming of the congressional building on January 6, 2021 and for trying to influence the election results in the state of Georgia.
