Donald Trump: With fake photos, he claims that Taylor Swift supports him – 2024-08-22 19:56:20

Democrats hope to capitalize on Taylor Swift’s massive popularity to win. However, the singer she has not yet opened her papers, as Donald Trump falsely implied.

Donald Trump, who sees Kamala Harris building a solid poll lead, has posted “supportive” photos of Taylor Swift on his social media accounts.

Nothing to do with the reality of what Donald Trump uploaded (and of course downloaded) to his personal accounts.

Donald Trump’s ‘I accept’ to Taylor Swift

With the message “accept” accompanied by Donald Trump a series of photos created using AI, suggesting that Taylor Swift is supporting him in the upcoming US election.

He posted images, first on X and then on Truth Social, of Taylor Swift and her fans supporting him.

According to Sky News, the photos posted by US presidential candidate Donald Trump on Truth Social include a poster of Swift dressed in red, white and blue, with a caption that reads: “Taylor Swift Wants You to Vote for Donald Trump”.

Another image shared by Donald Trump showed fans of Swift (the so-called Swifties) wearing T-shirts that read: «Swifties for Trump».

The post appeared to be labeled “satirical” and was accompanied by a caption that read: “Swifties turn on Trump after ISIS attack foiled at Taylor Swift’s Vienna concert.”

Taylor Swift recently canceled three concerts in Vienna after a possible threat of a terrorist attack. Police arrested three people on suspicion of plotting attacks and pledging allegiance to Islamic State.

Photos using artificial intelligence

While two of the images depict a real woman supporting Trump, most of the women are not real, reports US affiliate Sky News. At least 15 are human representations created using artificial intelligence.

The Swifties, whom Trump so desperately wants to “use,” rallied against him accusing him of spreading fake news.

It should be noted that the posts were reposted on X by Trump supporters.

Trump campaign spokesman Steven Chung told Reuters news agency that “Swifties for Trump is a huge movement that’s growing every day,” when asked to comment on Swift’s fake image.

Swifties’ reactions

In anticipation of Swift’s official endorsement of a candidate in the US election, her fans have begun to rally behind Kamala Harris.

Shortly after Biden announced he would not seek re-election in July, a group called «Swifties for Kamala» launched a social media campaign.

«We don’t represent every Swiftie, but I think there’s a reason we don’t need AI to show our support for Kamala“said the organization’s co-founder, Irene Kim, clearly referring to Donald Trump’s practices.

Taylor Swift was the person of 2023 according to TIME magazine (the first time this position has been held by an artist).

With 283 million followers on Instagram and as many on X, Taylor Swift is a potential “card” in the Democrats’ quiver, since she supported Biden in 2020.

Democrats will settle for one position against Trump, even if she doesn’t openly support Kamala Harris.

Indicative of her influence, last September, on the occasion of National Voting Day, the singer encouraged her fans on Instagram to register on the electoral rolls.

The official organization, Vote.org, recorded more than 35,252 new registrations in just one day, 23% more than last year.
