NEW YORK (Nettavisen): The pressure on former President Donald Trump is increasing, after it became known this week that the investigation of Trump’s company, Trump Organization, has changed status from a civilian investigation to a criminal investigation.
This means that the prosecution thus drills deeper into former President Donald Trump’s business life and work.
Investigating Trump’s business deals
– We have informed the Trump Organization that our investigation is no longer a civilian investigation. We have now started an active criminal investigation of the Trump Organization together with the prosecution in Manhattan, said Fabien Levy, spokesman for New York’s Justice Minister Letitia James, earlier this week.

For the past two years, the Manhattan Attorney General has been investigating business deals Trump made before he became president, including blowing up the value of his companies to obtain favorable loan terms and stating a lower value of his properties to get lower taxes.
Today it is the children Eric and Donald Jr. who heads the company, but there is no doubt that it is dad who is the boss.

– Trump will turn against the whole gang
In an interview with MSNBC, Trump’s former lawyer, Michael Cohen, says that he expects Donald Trump to turn against his own family if evidence is found in the case and the pressure on him becomes too great.

Cohen justifies this by saying that he thinks Trump only cares about himself, and that he will blame everyone but himself if he is pushed into a corner.

– I really think that Donald Trump only cares about himself and that he realizes that he has ended up in big problems, so when he is asked about the financial problems in the Trump Organization, he will blame everyone but himself, says Cohen.

In 2018, Michael Cohen was convicted of tax evasion and for violating the law on campaign financing, among other things for being responsible for the payment of Stormy Daniels’ money.
Cohen has admitted that he was responsible for the payment of the hush money, and claims that the payment was “made on the basis of and in favor of Donald J. Trump”.
Still, Donald Trump’s role in this case recently dropped.

In an interview with MSNBC, Cohen says this is a good example of how Trump always gets away with it, and always blames everyone but himself.

Cohen is therefore convinced that Trump will turn to his own, if the pressure now increases.

Allen Weisselberg could be the key
And it is precisely one of Trump’s accountants who has come into focus in the ongoing investigation against the Trump Organization.
Central to this investigation against Trump’s company is Allen Weisselberg, who for decades has been CFO of the Trump Organization and accountant for the Trump family.

Investigators are working feverishly to get Allen Weisselberg to cooperate, and here also his former daughter-in-law, Jennifer Weisselberg, comes into the picture.
Jennifer divorced Allen Weisselberg’s son Barry in 2018, but after the two had married in 2004, they should have received a very special gift.

Cohen tells MSNBC that he is convinced that Trump will blame Allen Weisselberg if he gets into trouble.
– Trump will turn to his accountant and point the finger. He is going to say that “Donald Jr. handled this, Ivanka handled this. Melania. Do not take me. Take Melania !, says Cohen to the TV channel.
“He’s going to ask them to take everyone but himself,” Cohen said.
