Donald Trump, former president of the country, sued the former Democratic presidential candidate this Thursday, Hillary Clintonafter the accusations that the former first lady made of having colluded with Russia to win the 2016 elections.
‘In the run up to the 2016 presidential election, Hillary Clinton and her minions orchestrated an unthinkable plot (…) that is an affront to the nation’s democracy’reads the lawsuit.
The former president’s legal team filed the lawsuit in federal court in the state of Florida.
‘Acting in concert, the defendants maliciously conspired to weave a false narrative that their Republican opponent, Donald J. Trump, was in collusion with a hostile foreign sovereign’deepen the writing.
Trump not only sued Clinton for accusing him of colluding with Russia in the 2016 election.
The former president also mentions John Podesta, who was chairman of Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign, and former FBI Director James Comey.
The goal of Trump and his lawyers is a jury trial in which he seeks to win $72,000,000 in damages.
Robert Mueller, a former special counsel, uncovered numerous meetings between Trump advisers and Russian officials in the 2016 campaign.
However, Mueller was never able to prove a criminal conspiracy between Russia and Trump to win the election.
Similarly, a Senate panel, held by the Republicans, also discovered the meetings between Russians and Trump advisers.
And like Mueller, they found no evidence of any conspiracy between Trump and Russia.
