Former President Donald Trump was scheduled to testify for the second time in the civil fraud case brought by the state of New York against him, his three eldest children and the Trump Organization.
Now he reports on his social medium, Truth Social, that he will not do it.
He cites several reasons as the reason, including the fact that he has already testified about everything he knows about the case.
– Total witch hunt, which will lead to nothing but keeping businesses out of New York. I will not testify on Monday!, he writes.
Trump and his two sons are accused of having inflated the value of the properties they have in New York in order to get better loan terms and insurance terms.
Before the court session last week, he said on social media that the whole case has already been decided before it started, and in court he has called Judge Arthur Engoron crazy and out of control, while Minister of Justice and prosecutor Leticia James, who is black, has been called corrupt and racist .
Trump is indicted in other court cases for careless handling of top secret documents, and for having entered into a criminal conspiracy to overturn the 2020 election in Georgia.
