Former Philadelphia Eagles player Herschel Walker may be considering a bid for a US Senate seat in Georgia.
He once tried to make “Eagles football great again” and now the 59-year-old retired running back is looking to “make America great again.” Or whatever the new motto is.
Herschel Walker has spoken out in favor of Donald Trump on multiple occasions, often voicing his support for the accused president on social media. On Wednesday, Trump sent a memo urging the “unstoppable” Walker to run for a US Senate seat next year in Georgia.

Trump wrote: Wouldn’t it be great if the legendary Herschel Walker ran for the United States Senate in Georgia? He would be unstoppable, as he was when he played for the Georgia Bulldogs and in the NFL. He is also a GREAT person. Run Herschel, run! “

Yet he did give Dallas a host of draft picks that the franchise made the foundation of its 1990s dynasty. The aftermath of the Walker trade meant three Super Bowl titles in four years. It also allowed the Cowboys to sign Emmitt Smith in 1990.
“I think the legacy of the trade is that it was the beginning of the dynasty that the Cowboys had,” Walker told the Dallas Morning News in 2019.
