On Wednesday, US podcast host and vaccine opponent Candace Owens was visited by former US President Donald Trump in her show, “The Daily Wire”.
After calling the vaccines “pure evil” and questioning their effectiveness, Trump countered and defended it.
– The vaccine works. Some people do not take it. They are the ones who get very sick and end up in hospital, but it is still their choice, and if you take the vaccine, then you are protected, said the former president, according to The Independent.
Trump also added that he had received three vaccine doses, and that all have worked very well.

On Friday, Owens appeared in a new livestream, where she told what she thought about Trump’s vaccine support.
There, she claimed that Trump’s support for the vaccines comes from reading his news via the “mainstream media”, like most others.
– I have seen other older people who have the same perspective. It is as if they come from a time before the Internet and believe in everything that is presented to them, she said.
Then she made another accusation against him:
– I do not think that Trump is on the Internet, or that he necessarily uses it to find out things.
– The best in years
The former president is also praised after the interview. CNN political commentator Christopher Michael Cilliza writes that The statements are the best Trump has made in years.
“Now it is worth noting that Trump could have been a powerful advocate for the vaccines long before, but now he bears at least some responsibility for the Republicans who refuse to take the vaccine,” Cilliza writes.
Biden’s press secretary, Jen Psaki, also praises Trump on Twitter:

The statements have temporarily not only created positive reactions. Radio host and former Trump supporter Alex Jones is very clear on what he thinks about the case.
