US President Donald Trump has announced, “with great satisfaction” that he has decided to suspend the imposition of duties for at least 30 days Imports of Canadian Productsafter consultations with the prime minister of Canada Justin Trinth.
As Trindo said via X, Canada pledged to create anxiety similar to guards in the Trump government against immigrants and fighting the distribution of fentanyl at the US border.
“The proposed duties are suspended for at least 30 days,” Trindo added, adding that negotiations between Otava and Washington will continue to find a comprehensive solution.
President Trump confirmed via Truth Social that he is “very pleased with this first result” and that the duties announced on Saturday will be suspended “for 30 days” to determine if the “final financial agreement” with Canada can be reached .
He described the outcome as “fair”.
