Former US President Donald Trump has been found guilty of sexual assault against Elizabeth Jean Carroll, known as a columnist and writerin 1996
This is the decision of a jury in New York and is the first case in which a president of the United States has been designated as a sex offender.
However, the three-hour long hearing brought with it only a financial sanction for Trump, since the case was not criminal. He is also acquitted of rape, which Carroll also claims took place in the lingerie store where they met.
The former head of state will have to pay 5 million dollars, but another problem for him is that the sentence is another trouble with justice a year and a half before the upcoming presidential elections. A month earlier other charges were also brought against him.
