At $2.5 billion, the former president is no longer one of the richest Americans. This is evident from the exclusive list of the business magazine Forbes.

Every year since 1996, Donald Trump has been in Forbes’ top 400 richest Americans. But he just fell out of that. Last year, he was still in 399th place, but now he is 400 million dollars short to be on the list. And for that he has to point the finger at the coronavirus. During the pandemic, he lost $600 million. That was almost completely scaled back by tourism – his hotels were not very profitable as a result – and rising real estate prices.

In 2003, Trump was in his highest place ever. Then he was at number 71.

The former president isn’t the only one who slipped a few places. Microsoft founder Bill Gates also had to give up some places. For the first time since 1991, the man is not in first or second place. With his $134 billion, he has to give way to Jeff Bezos, founder of Amazon ($201 billion), Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla (190.5 billion) and Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Facebook ($134.5 billion). .
