Volodymyr Zelensky is traveling through the USA in search of support for his country. Donald Trump is making accusations against him – because of Kamala Harris.
Washington – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Selenskyj has Kyiv for several days. Instead, he is in the USA on the road to once again support the Russia insidiously attacked Ukraine to collect.
Volodymyr Selenskyj in the USA: Donald Trump criticizes Ukrainian president
Among other things, Selenskyj was given a tour of an ammunition factory in Scranton, Pennsylvania, where artillery shells are apparently produced. The United States is in the Ukraine War the country’s largest donor. However, some political observers fear that this could change if Donald Trump is re-elected as US president.

The Republican presidential candidate has spoken out against the US election 2024 (November 5) has now expressed at least suspicion about Zelenskyj. He accused the Ukrainian of secretly supporting the election campaign of Democrat and Vice President Kamala Harris, who is a supporter of supplying weapons to the Ukrainian army.

“I see that Zelensky is here. I think Zelensky is the greatest salesman in history,” Trump said at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania. “Every time he comes into the country, he walks away with $60 billion. (…) He really wants them (the Democrats, the Red.) win this election, but I would do it differently, I will make peace,” Trump said. The Republican went on to say that if he wins the election, “the first thing I will do is call Zelensky and President Putin and say, ‘You have to make a deal, this is crazy.'” By “that,” the 78-year-old presidential candidate probably meant the Ukraine war itself.
Trump met Russian President Vladimir Putin for bilateral talks at various international summits in July 2017, July 2018 and June 2019. Trump had repeatedly said in recent months that he would end the bloodshed on the Ukrainian battlefields in the shortest possible time. However, he did not say how he would do this. According to the US news magazine Politico Meanwhile, “Zelensky’s trip to Pennsylvania was a blessing for Harris.”
Donald Trump versus Kamala Harris: Battle for Polish voters in the USA
To put it in context: In the US state of Pennsylvania, with its approximately 13 million inhabitants, there are about 750,000 people with Polish roots. A large fundraising group supporting Harris had, according to Politico recently published an ad on Facebook that was specifically aimed at Polish voters. During the recent TV debate, Harris accused Trump that Putin would be sitting in Kiev and the Russian army would supposedly be on the Polish border if Trump had remained US President beyond 2021.
Poland is generally considered to be skeptical of Moscow. Polish Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz said in February that his country was no longer ruling out the possibility of war with Russia. Poland must prepare for such a war, he said in an interview with the daily newspaper Super ExpressWhen asked whether he thought a military defeat of Ukraine and a direct Russian attack on Poland were possible, the conservative politician replied: “I expect every scenario and take the worst ones most seriously. That is the job of a defense minister in the situation we find ourselves in today.”
Polish-Soviet War
In the Polish-Soviet War from February 1919 to March 1921, Poland, which had been reestablished in 1918, attempted to restore the historical borders of 1772 in the east. Soviet Russia, which was in the middle of a civil war, wanted to reconquer Polish territories. Poland won the military confrontation, partly because nationalists in Soviet Ukraine supported it against Moscow. The Soviet occupation of eastern Poland began more than 18 years later with the invasion of the Red Army on September 17, 1939. After the capitulation of Nazi Germany in May 1945, the Russian-dominated Soviet Union incorporated all of what is now Poland as a socialist satellite state until 1991.
Russia and Poland: Warsaw’s distrust of Moscow
On August 15, Germany’s neighbour held a large military parade to commemorate the 1920 “Battle of Warsaw”, also known as the “Miracle on the Vistula”. At that time, after the collapse of the Russian Empire (to which Poland belonged) as a result of the First World War, Polish troops defeated Bolshevik forces that wanted to occupy the new Polish territory and bring the young, independent country back under Moscow’s influence. Since the beginning of the war, which was in violation of international law, Russian attack on Ukraine, Warsaw is arming its army on.
Among other things, Warsaw ordered 500 “HIMARS” artillery rocket systems from the USA in February. In the summer of 2022, Poland had already ordered (an incredible) 1,000 “K2” main battle tanks and 672 “K9” self-propelled howitzers from South Korea.
