Donald Trump classifies anti-fascist movement as a terrorist organization

“Congratulations to our National Guard for the excellent work they did immediately after arriving in Minneapolis, Minnesota, yesterday [sábado] at night, ”wrote Donald Trump,

The official said that, due to the action of the National Guard, “the ANTIFA, which lead the anarchists among others, were quickly blocked”.

And he said that “other Democratic-led cities and states should look at the total blockade of radical left-wing anarchists in Minneapolis”, suggesting recourse to the National Guard elsewhere “before it is too late”.

In addition to being called to the state of Minnesota, for a total of 2,500 elements, the National Guard was activated in Georgia, Kentucky, Wisconsin, Colorado, Ohio and Utah.

At the origin of the protests is the death of 46-year-old African American George Floyd, at the hands of the police last Monday, after he was arrested on suspicion of trying to use a counterfeit 20 dollar bill (18 euros) on a Minneapolis supermarket in the state of Minnesota.

In videos made by passers-by and broadcast online, one of the four agents, who participated in the detention, has a knee on Floyd’s neck pressing for more than eight minutes.

The four have already been fired and one, who arrested George Floyd, has been charged with manslaughter.

On Saturday night, clashes took place between protesters and police officers who shook major cities in the United States, placed under curfew following the death of African-American George Floyd.
