In the finals of the “Supernova” competition, the duet “Vēstulēs” ranked behind Don, while the 3rd place went to Katrīna Gupalo, 4th place – Alex Silvers, 5th – Saint Levića, 6th – Edvards Strazdiņš, 7th – Ecto, 8th – Avéi, 9th – Funkinbiz and 10th – the group “Paper Airplanes”.
Don is an experienced Latvian musician who has released nine albums and has repeatedly won the LR2 song poll “Muzikālā Banka”, as well as won several Music Recordings of the Year awards. In 2021, Don started cooperation with the music publishing company “Universal Music Group”. The musician is known for such singles as “The Last Letter”, “Pass the Fear” and “Broken Heart”. Commenting on his song “Hollow”, the musician expresses himself in the words of Imantas Ziedonis: “An awful lot of truths. You can fall apart if you don’t have your own.”

The winner of the “Supernova” contest was determined by the total votes of the audience and the jury. LTV will publish the detailed results of the vote with the places assigned by the jury and the audience rating soon. Due to security reasons, LTV will reveal the composition of the contest jury in May, when the International Eurovision Song Contest is over.
In this year’s International Eurovision Song Contest, Latvia will submit its song for evaluation in the second semi-final on May 9. Along with Latvia, Albania, Armenia, Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Greece, Georgia, Estonia, Israel, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, San Marino and Switzerland will also participate in it. The Eurovision final, on the other hand, will take place two days later – on May 11.
