Earlier this week, Don released a new single, “The Tourist,” from the studio album due in late fall. The song also has a video.
The new song “Tūrists” is just a bit atypical for Don’s work – its sound is a bit electronic, but the main emphasis is still on the singer’s specific timbre – but the video is quite surprising: the usually restrained musician is seen with the girl on his side (actress Victoria Martinova), in which episode a cigarette is noticeable in the hand, etc. This video was created by director Elvijs Pārpucis (“Later Riga”), as well as cameraman Krists Luhaers and producer Ināra Šumeiko (“Film Naked”).
The author of the music and lyrics of the song “Tūrists” is Don himself, the recording was made in “AnsonLab” and “Kim’s Crib” recording studios. “Autumn is a time when sadness and joy alternate like braided French braids. That’s how “Tūrists” was born last autumn, when I was immersed in the feelings of late September, “Don remembers the origin of the song. By the way, he has already boldly announced the big concert next year – this year it was not possible to organize it, but Dona’s team hopes to do it on July 1, 2021, in Riga, stadium “Daugava”.
