There are clearly 30,000 blood bags missing in France to reach a correct reserve threshold. The Covid pandemic has led to economic difficulties almost everywhere in the territory with donor defections which has forced the EFS to publish a “vital emergency” bulletin to alert to the situation. “It is necessary that the donors mobilize over the long term to get out of this situation of tension”, indicates the press release from the management of the establishment. But in Paca, the difficulties seem to accumulate. Maud Bergeon, for the EFS Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur-Corsica indicates that “the region has 6 days of stock, unlike the 12 expected”. In the worst-case scenario, this means “that in the event of an exceptional situation such as a huge road accident or an attack, we are not in a position to cope”, she specifies.

To get there, make an appointment in advance on mon-rdvdondesang.efs.sante.fr
Bring ID on the day of the appointment.
A Draguignan
The next blood collection from the French Blood Establishment in Draguignan will take place Monday 14 and Tuesday 15 February from 2:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Maison des Sports et de la Jeunesse by appointment on the internet: mon-rdv-dondesang.efs.sante.fr. The level of blood reserves in France is now below the safety threshold and has been for several days.
The Louis-Go car park will be free for donors. Also remember to bring your blood donor card or ID.
