In September last year, Leroy announced that it would switch to the Dutch competitor KPN. She retired from Proximus, but her appointment at KPN was canceled after it emerged that Leroy was under investigation into possible insider trading. In that case, a settlement was eventually reached with stock exchange watchdog FSMA.
“I look forward to this new challenge,” Leroy said in a press release from Deutsche Telekom. “I want to use my experience to grow the Europe division and contribute to the strategy of the whole group.”
