The only 22-year-old midfielder did not crack under the weight of the responsibility, and in fact began to behave even more like a leader, which was also evident in his performance in Leipzig, and thanks to this, Liverpool not only noticed him, but also paid his buyout price of seventy million euros. Looking at it from this point of view, it is legitimate to ask how big is Rossi’s role in Szoboszlai reaching one of the most popular clubs in the world so quickly.

“I’m not going to brag about having a part in it—” rejected the suggestion Rossi with his usual directness. – Dominik can mostly be grateful to himself, he has been working since he was very young to get to this level. – We had reason to entrust him with wearing the captain’s armband and all its responsibilities – Rossi responded. – The most important thing is his personality, a born leader. We kept both the present and the future in mind when making the decision, and he is proud to wear the armband. When I saw him play for the first time, he was not yet eighteen, but soon after he made his debut in the national team. He has an amazing personality, I was impressed from the first minute. He has improved a lot as a person and as a player over the past year and I have no doubt that he will continue to do so.
Can he start in England like Haaland?
As you know, Szoboszlai and Erling Haaland were teammates and good friends in the colors of Salzburg, and they follow a similar path, in which the Norwegian is one step ahead. Both joined a top German team from Salzburg, Szoboszlai to Leipzig, Haaland to Dortmund, and from there the cream of the Premier League followed, for the Norwegian Manchester City last year, for Szoboszlai Liverpool now. In his first season in England, Haaland took everything, became the top scorer and scored a treble with City. Will Szoboszlai take the change so smoothly?
“You can’t compare one striker with ten,” Rossi responded. – Haaland lives for goals, this is his life. Dominik provides key passes and assists, but also scores goals. The characteristics of the two players are completely different, but both are amazingly talented. Dominik can still improve in scoring so that his position is one of, if not his best.
