Dominican singer-songwriter Valentina released his first EP with Universal Music Mexico, “Playlist pa’ un cora’ roto”, after conquering various local stages.
After the premiere a few weeks ago of the single “En Santo Domingo”, Valentina steps on the accelerator with “Playlist pa un cora roto”, with six songs that build a conceptual narrative around a love story, which we observe from its birth to its breakup, thus encompassing all the emotions that romance awakens in us.
Thanks to his exploration of different rhythms and styles, including R&B, soul, trap, pop and reggaeton, as well as his songwriting talents, Valentina it evokes apparently contradictory images such as passion and sadness, making it clear that love is a melting pot of feelings and sensations. An example of the above is “Pari d corazón partío”, a single that accompanies the singer’s debut with Universal.
Accompanied by the Puerto Rican singer Deimi, the Dominican gives away a classic reggaeton rhythm, to which is added a dialogue sung between the protagonists: on the one hand, the male voice tries to get his ex-lover back, while the female melody reminds him that although stay sad, life must go on and she prefers to give free rein to her impulses before believing again in a man who breaks her heart: a new classic on the dance floor for those who know how to dance even with a broken heart.
In addition to “En Santo Domingo” and “Pari de corazón partío”, the EP includes songs like “1 martini please”, “Nuestra canción”, “Fuckboy” and “D’ panas a na’”, which aim to become new favorites for lovers of the genre, while Valentina continues to take firm steps towards its consolidation as one of the queens of the genre.
