The New York State Senate will receive the visit of an official delegation from the Senate of the Dominican Republic, headed by the president of the Upper House, Eduardo Estrella.
The purpose of the visit “is for the delegation of Dominican senators to participate in a series of meetings and events with the aim of promoting exchange and collaboration between the two legislative bodies,” the NY Senate said in a statement.

The delegation will also participate in meetings with prominent dignitaries, including the Dominican ambassador to the US, Sonia Guzmán, guest of honor at the New York Senate; Congressman Adriano Espaillat and the Dominican Consul General in NY, Eligio Jáquez.

The official visit of the Dominican Senate is scheduled for the third week of May 2023. The delegation is made up of distinguished senators who represent various provinces, political parties and chair prominent commissions in the Upper House of the Dominican Republic.
