According to the entity, the anticovid vaccine that will be applied to infants is Sinovac, an immunizer administered to the majority of the adult population in the first two doses.

In this sense, the anticovid vaccination campaign will be carried out in 388 teaching and educational centers in the country; the health authorities indicate that during the course of the day the immunization posts had a large influx of student personnel.

The health authorities clarify that the administration of the doses against Covid-19 of minors requires the authorization of the parents or guardians; thus, those children between the ages of five and 11, who do not have the consent of their elders, will be admitted to schools without restrictions.

It should be noted that only children over 12 years of age, who have not been vaccinated against the coronavirus, must present the negative result of the PCR test to attend face-to-face classes in educational institutions.

To date, the Caribbean nation accumulates 5.8 million people vaccinated against Covid-19, out of a population of 10.5 million inhabitants; thus, as of February 21, the vaccination certificate will be mandatory for 18-year-old mapires to attend closed spaces, whether public or private.
