Dominican Popular Bank Promotes Business Opportunities for Creative Entrepreneurs at Orange Congress

He Dominican Popular Bank will promote the training and knowledge of creative entrepreneurs during the Orange Congress of the Ministry of Culture, offering talks and training, as well as access to the loan “orange entrepreneurs”with the aim of promoting business opportunities in the so-called orange economy, which encompasses the country’s cultural and creative industries.

The Orange congress will be held in the Juan Pablo Duarte Culture Square, between June 16 and 18. It is an initiative of the Ministry of Culture, with the co-sponsorship of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Mipymes, open to all types of public, which seeks to stimulate the complete gear of talent and creativity of Dominicans in order to transform the value chain of goods and cultural services, with the appropriate professionalism and formalization.

Specifically, Banco Popular has structured a program of trainings with experienced facilitators in the field to educate creatives on how to structure their businesses and formalize them to profit from their artistic creations.

On Saturday the 17th, also at 9:00 in the morning and in the same place, the facilitator Giancarlo Jiménez will be in charge of the conference “Purpose-driven finance for creatives”in which he will explain the tools and habits to achieve an adequate administration of income, manage a budget, reduce expenses, save and invest

Also, Giancarlo Jiménez, on Sunday the 17th, at the same time and place, will talk about how to increase profits and measure the profitability of a creative initiative, in the talk “Learn to manage the finances of your orange business.

These talks are part of the financial organization’s efforts with its editorial and multimedia initiative “Creative Dominican. Talent in the orange economy” and the “Orange Entrepreneurs” platform, which makes it easier for creative entrepreneurs to evolve their projects from the original idea to turning it into a successful SME.

This platform offers recurring training and also a loan to start a business, with special conditions in terms and rates, which can be requested during each of the talks offered by Popular at the Naranja congress.

“Creative Dominican”which was conceived as a project to extol the quality of the country brand promoted by the different cultural and creative industries, has received significant national and international support, with presentations in Madrid, Mexico and London.

Also the International Business Awards® (IBA) of the United States awarded it a Bronze Stevie® Award for Communication Campaign of the Year, in the Arts & Entertainment category, highlighting its “great impact on society” for having “a compelling approach to drive greater awareness of the talent in the orange economy of the Dominican Republic”.
