Two beds. A desk. There is not much more.
In one of these small rooms a Bernese dreams big. Dominic Stricker lives on the premises of Swiss Tennis. And the goal is to a certain extent omnipresent in the national performance center in Biel. On the walls there are pictures of the local heroes, like that of Stan Wawrinka. And if you look out the window here on Roger-Federer-Allee, you will see the house in which the later namesake lived when he was preparing for his career.
Wawrinka, Federer: Stricker has been compared with them since he won the Roland Garros junior tournament last autumn. And after he succeeded on the Challenger Tour in Lugano in March, and was only slightly older than his prominent compatriots when they first triumphed, parallels are drawn to the multiple Grand Slam winners.
