Mortal Kombat 1’s Narrative Director Dominic Ciancolo Says The Upcoming Game’s Narrative Will Be The Shape Of Future Games“springboard”.
Ciancolo is accepting ComicBook.com interview said: “I think there’s an expectation that’s been built because of MK9. That’s obviously the pace of the first three games. So we’re seeing characters fully develop over the course of the game to what people know. Mortal Kombat 1 as a narrative is the springboard …that’s the first step on the road. So we’re going to obviously see the characters develop, they’re going to change, things are going to happen, but it’s not the end. It’s just the beginning. So we hope that as we Advance and develop.
Mortal Kombat 1 had us reset the timeline, where Liu Kang made his own history, but not without threats. This time around we’ve seen returns and new faces, but it seems that even though the timeline was reset in the last game, we’re now stuck with it for the foreseeable future.
