Losail –
Pramac Ducati master the qualifying session MotoGP Doha 2021. Two of the riders are in the top position with the pole positions belonging to them Jorge Martin.
In the qualifying session held at the Losail circuit on Sunday (4/4/2021), world champion Joan Mir again had to start from Q1 and could qualify for Q2 with Miguel Oliveira from KTM Racing.
Entering the Q2 session, the riders prepared their motorbikes as best they could in order to record the fastest time. Jorge Martin immediately stepped on the gas at the beginning of the Q2 session by posting the fastest time followed by Fabio Quartararo and Aleix Espargaro.
Yamaha rider Maverick Vinales then improved his position from ninth to first with just under five minutes remaining. Vinales kept sharpening his timeline.
Unfortunately, Pramac Ducati was too fast in this session and Jorge Martin broke the record for the fastest time to lock pole position. Remarkably Jorge Martin grabbed the pole by getting rid of teammate Johann Zarco.
For Martin, this is his first pole in the debut MotoGP race this season, with a time of 1 minute 53.106 seconds, 0.025 seconds ahead of Zarco in second place. Vinales in third position has 1 minute 53.267 seconds.
Ducati factory racer Jack Miller had to settle for starting from fourth position followed by Fabio Quartararo. Completing the top 10 positions are Francesco Bagnaia, Aleix Espargaro, Alex Rins, Joan Mir and Franco Morbidelli.
Performing poorly in the qualifying session was Valentino Rossi, who had to start from 21st position in the race on Monday (5/4/2021) tomorrow morning WIB. Can the Petronas Yamaha rider score?
