A photo shown by Johnny Depp’s head of security services was allegedly provided by lawyers for the American actor to prove that his ex-wife Amber Heard had caused visible injuries to him.

Johnny Depp chief of security admitted on Thursday that he had cheated and presented as his own a photo which had been tendered in the instruction which had in fact been provided to him by the lawyers of the star, during the defamation trial in London of the tabloid The Sun .
The star of “Pirate of the Caribbean” has been suing since last week the British tabloid The Sun and its publishing company NGN for having presented as a proven fact in April 2018 that he was an abusive husband, which he strongly denies.
Since their divorce in 2017 after two years of a stormy marriage, Johnny Depp, 57, and actress Amber Heard, 34, have accused each other of violence. After eight days of hearing in the High Court of London, the witnesses followed one another to affirm that the couple quarreled endlessly, after extravagant parties sprinkled with abundant quantities of drugs.
“You’re lying!”
Johnny Depp security chief Sean Bett tried to back up the thesis that Amber Heard had staged and recorded their arguments on Thursday to advance his career at the expense of her ex-husband.
After a party for her 30th birthday, the actress “sought to quarrel with (Mr. Depp) and beat him, causing visible injuries to him,” said Sean Bett in procedural testimony, presenting as proof a photo of the actor wearing a red hematoma under the left eye.

But after cross-examination at the hearing on Thursday, the head of the security services finally admitted that the photo he had presented was in fact sent to him by one of Johnny Depp’s lawyers. Sean Bett defended himself by explaining that he could not find the photo he had taken himself that night because he had lost his phone in the meantime, however claiming to have taken a “very similar” photo of his employer a year ago.
The defense took the opportunity to accuse the witnesses presented by Johnny Depp’s team of false testimony. “You’re lying!” launched Sun’s lawyer Sasha Wass to the chief of security. “You can call me a liar 100 times, I’m not lying. I’m telling the truth, ”said the latter.
Canceled testimonials
The court was to hear today by videoconference the testimony of two former companions of Johnny Depp, the French singer Vanessa Paradis, with whom he has two children, and the American actress Winona Ryder. But the actor’s lawyers ultimately decided not to have them testify, because of the delay in this trial, which was originally scheduled to last three weeks.
These two ex-companions have always supported the star of Pirates of the Caribbean, Vanessa Paradis describing him in a testimony versed in the proceedings as “a man and a father who is kind, attentive, generous and non-violent”.
Winona Ryder, who had had a relationship with Johnny Depp in the 1990s, had said “not be able to accept the idea of the accusation” which relates to his former companion. “He was never violent with me,” she said.
